Operation Courage

Operation Courage is a community partnership initiative of the Orange Crisis Accommodation Network.  The service is funded by the Department of Community Services and auspice by Central Tablelands Housing Association (CTHA).

Operation Courage is an innovative crisis accommodation model, designed in consultation with domestic violence network members, health and community service providers and local government and government departments, to meet the needs, preferences and safety concerns of women and their children experiencing domestic violence in Orange, NSW.

Operation Courage does this by providing:

• Information and advocacy support
• Appropriate referrals to other services
• Brokerage
• Panic alarms for a period of up to six months
• Access to safe houses

Operation Courage also provides community education and awareness raising about the negative effects Domestic Violence causes to our community.
