Central West Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service

The Central West Women’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Service is a Legal Aid funded program and is auspice by Central Tablelands Housing Association (CTHA).

The aim of the service is to provide women residing in the Central Western towns of Orange, Parkes, Forbes and Cowra, with a holistic approach which:

• Assists women and children who have experienced or who are experiencing domestic
  violence to obtain effective legal protection through the means of an Apprehended
  Domestic Violence Order, designed to suit their specific needs.

• Provides Court support, during the legal processes, ensuring the women and children are
  provided with effective and appropriate legal representation.

• Facilitates referrals to access professional services that can assist them with other social
  and welfare needs.
