Diversity of Business
As part of the business planning undertaken in 2008 for the period 2009-2012, CTHA Directors resolved that the organisations over overall strategy would be one of diversification and it would work to differentiate its self from other community housing providers in the market, by developing further specialised partnerships for example the Operation Courage Project funded by Department of Community Services and the Wellington Sort Stay Accommodation Service funded by Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
A diversification strategy is currently under development that will cover the main opportunities for additional partnerships and growth. The strategy will include amongst other emerging opportunities:
- Potential to partner in the Commonwealth’s National Rental Affordability Scheme,
- Expansion of Operation Courage into other areas
- Provision of Crisis Accommodation for Mudgee
- Development of an Affordable Housing Project with Local Government
- Positioning of the organisation to take advantage of title if the opportunity is provided to the sector
- Participation in community planning opportunities to identify need and explore opportunities for funding to meet the identified needs
Links to the following two projects clearly demonstrate our capacity to be diverse.
